The Kahului Town Center development plan is anticipated to be implemented over multiple phases. The full project plan includes 442 residential units, 140,000 square feet of retail space and 156,000 square feet of office space (includes existing Kahului Building). The Kahului Town Center will truly be the commercial, social and geographic center for Central Maui.

The development plan references the past in many elements. A variety of historical Maui architectural elements will be included in the project's buildings. Historical streets that had been abandoned in the 1950's when the Kahului Shopping Center was built will be re-established as private roadways through the project. Mokeypod trees, which have provided shade at the block for generations, will be a central element of the landscape plan. The inspiration provided by the rich history of the site has helped create a plan that will make the Kahului Town Center the place to be in Central Maui.
