The Kahului Town Center is centrally located in the heart of Kahului, Maui between the Maui Mall and Queen Kaahumanu Center. Within two blocks of the site there is over 800,000 square feet of existing retail space. Nearby retailers include: Whole Foods (2009), Macy's, Sears, Safeway, Ross and Long's Drugs.
The Kahului Town Center is across the street from Kahului Harbor which in 2007 was estimated to have over 530,000 cruise ship passenger arrivals annually. In addition, the proposed Superferry, could add another 230,000 passenger arrivals per year.
The residential population within three miles of the site is estimated to be 42,444 with a median household income of $54,736. Significant residential development in the area contributes to an estimated population growth of 7.8% over the next five years.
